If k is a positive integer and n = 7.049 ×10^k, what is the value of k?
(1) 7,500 < n < 75,000
(2) 10^4 < n < 10^5

k=3 n=7 049
k=4 n=70 490
k=5 n=704 900

1)
Only possible when k=4

2)
10 000 < n < 100 000
Only possible when k=4
