Correct ones:
Economists HAVE
OR
The economist has

Incorrect ones:
Economist have
Economists has

In this sentence, the pronoun THEIR identifies that the subject is plural -> 'Economists'

Rule: plural subject agrees with plural verb AND singular subject agrees with singular verb.
