Assumptions & Bold Faces - Strategy

by vijaynarayanan » Sat May 29, 2010 10:03 pm
Hi
Could someone help me...
1. I am getting bogged down with the 2 topics - Assumptions and Bold faces. I don't seem to get any confidence in this area. Any suggestions??? I only tend to get 1-2 out of 10 correct here.
2. My overall CR percentage is around 70-75% correct. Is this good.
PS: The book I am referring to is Powerscore Bible for CR.
Thanks
Vijay.

To become good at both of these requires one key thing; you need to be thinking about the structure of the argument while reading the stimulus. After reading each sentence I make a quick mental note as to what part that particular sentence plays within the argument as a whole. It takes a little time to get used to, but when you become efficient it is rewarding as I get tend to get through most CR questions within a minute to a minute-and-a-half.
