A. r < s < t
B. r < t < s
C. s < t < r
D. s < r < t
E. t < r < s
Ignore the number given. We can plug in any fraction between 0 and 1.
Let r = 1/4, s = (1/4)² = 1/16, and t = √(1/4) = 1/2.
The smallest value is s = 1/16, the largest value is t = 1/2.
The correct answer is
D.
