Hi guys

the other day I tried to resolve a problem with no success.
It asked to calculate the area of a paralelogram with 4 inch with and 5 inches length.... how can I calculate the high so to calculate the area??

And if both sides were the same? (5 inches vs 5 inches)...

Area of a parallelogram having base B and height h is
Area = b.h

So given 5 and 4 area = 5x4 = 20 sq inches

If its both 5 and a parallelogram, it becomes a Square. Area of Square of side A = A^2

but if I'm not mistaken the height of the paralelogram is not the side of it... thats why I have that doubt....

Oops my mistake. It doesnt become a square but a Rhombus.
Area of Rhombus having h and b is still A = b.h

Need to know the Internal Angle

Hey u atleast need to know the internal angle..as the area would vary depending on the angle. if the angle was too acute the height becomes less though the base is same..so angle is important. Once you know the angle you can calculate using simple Pytho theorem

I yesterday went to the internet and found the answer... it is exactly that. If you don't have an angle than it is impossible to find out the height
