while i do understand that "X times as much as" and "X times as many as" are legitimate construction ,what i do want to know is "X times more than" a legitimate construction ?
can instructors plz direct me to some official problem that uses "X times more than" construction ,if at all it is legitimate construction

It is of course a legitimate construction, but not one that I have really seen used (or at least I don't remember it). Do you have a specific example(?), because the breakdown of what it means depends on the context....
