Sulfur dioxide, a major contributor to acid rain, is an especially serious pollutant because it diminishes the respiratory system's ability to deal with all other pollutants.
(A) an especially serious pollutant because it diminishes the respiratory system's ability to deal
(C) an especially serious pollutant because it diminishes the capability of the respiratory system in dealing
Is "respiratory system's ability" correct? Respiratory system is a system, i.e. it does not refer to humans or animals.

Is the rule bulletproof, or has some exceptions?

the only place i've actually seen it with my own eyes is "1000sc", which contains some official problems among a vast sea of inferior third-party problems.
if the problem is actually official (i.e., if someone has actually SEEN it in gmatprep), then we have our answer right there. if the problem is not official, then it provides us with no evidence regarding the issue.

yeah, i remember that -- but i didn't get the problem firsthand; that time, i got it from a secondhand document. (i had to prepare that session in a hurry... heh)YellowSapphire wrote:This is your slide Ron.lunarpower wrote: anybody have the source of this problem?
