Kogod/Brandeis/Univ of tennessee pl help

by sunstorm » Fri Mar 27, 2009 3:50 pm
Hi,
I actually have a problem of too many...I am an international student and I have got admits from full time MBA from university of Tennessee, Kogod school of business(American Univ) and Brandeis school of international business. I am confused as to which one to take.. Which one do you suggest and why. ?
To me, Job prospects are the factor of highest concern (along with the campus envi , safety , faculty and stuff. ) cos I will have a huge loan to pay after graduation and cant risk it..

Hello,

Congratulations on your acceptances!

Because I don’t know your post-MBA goals, I can’t advise on which program would have the best prospects for your specific needs. I can however advise on how to approach the decision.

First consider the type of company that you’d like to intern in for the summer and that you’d like to join upon graduating, and then scrutinize the last year or two of each program’s recruiting statistics to see how many of such companies recruit. In addition, as an accepted applicant you can contact their career services office and ask for their anecdotal input on trends and other factors –glean their degree of zeal, their plans for upcoming recruiting, and any new programs/approaches they may be implementing. The information you obtain from this process should enable you to make an informed decision.

Best regards,
