GPREP If m and n are positive integers..

If m and n are positive integers and mn = k, is m + n = k + 1?

1. m = 1

2. k is a prime number

Can someone explain why B is also sufficient? Thanks

If k is prime either m or n must be prime and 1 not necessarily in that order.

A prime has only 2 factors 1 and itself.

m+n will always be equal k+1
