Need HELP- GMAT Score drop for 680 to 650

Hi,

I just gave the GMAT yesterday and sadly my score dropped from 680 (Q49, V34) to 650 (Q50, V28).

My question is
What GMAT score does the ADCOM consider and during the interviews will they have access to both my scores?

I am considering Kellogg, Columbia, Duke and Cornell.

Hi there,

B-School considers your highest GMAT Score. Adcom do have access to check your previous GMAT scores from GMAC but as they consider only highest GMAT Score, it should not be a problem.

When are you planning to apply for your MBA? B-Schools you are targeting are pretty good. Cornell and Duke are your safe B-School where Kellogg and Columbia are stretch B-schools considering your profile and GMAT score.

To clarify a point made by a previous poster - adcoms have access to your complete GMAT history if you have shared it with them. You know when they ask if you want to send your scores anywhere? If you picked them, they can look at your official report. If you didn't, they can't.

If they can see both, then yes, only the higher score is counted for reporting purposes. But unofficially, they will try to triangulate your actual performance and feel your true GMAT to be somewhere between those two numbers. The more data points, the better the triangulation.
