About a month left before the big day

by millerm27 » Fri Jan 30, 2009 11:37 am
Hello everybody,
I've been studying for about 2 and a half months now, just basically doing problems from every section. I try to study about an hour a day, sometimes more, sometimes don't get to study at all, but I keep my own pace. I feel like I won't have too many problems on the verbal part at all; I've done very well on those sections and I don't really know how much else you can improve..knowing English and being able to comprehend what's written I think is enough. I will try to brush up on maybe learning the rules of sentence correction though. My only concern, however, is the math part. If I was back in 11th grade, I have no doubt that I would absolutely dominate the quantitative part; however it's been about 7 years since most of those concepts were relevant and I have to essentially re-learn math I used to say "when am I ever going to need to know this" when learning it in high school. So the question is, what would you do in a month to drastically improve in the quantitative section? Just do as many problems as possible and try to learn the concepts on the fly, or pick up a high school textbook and learn stuff that way? I'd appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks!

Take a look at my blog. With one month left, you should have enough time to incorporate some of my ideas particularly the post about quant complexity near the end of the blog. I formulated a very good way to improve steadily in the quant area.
