How many attempts score do get reported to Institute

Hello Friends,

I have very general question but couldn't find any concrete answer on it.
I have given my GMAT thrice
1st - 610
2nd - 600
3rd - 620

Now, my question is that supposed I apply to 'X' school then will GMAC will report all my three score to it.

Further, I am thinking of giving again 1 more attempt then will this 4th attempt score will get reported to that 'X' school along with earlier three score?

Is there any window kind of thing while reporting this score. I mean only last 3 best attempt score will reported.

Also is there any mean by which that "X' institute will able to find that I have taken more than 'window limit tests' (which I presume to be 3)

Please advice.

No windows nothing like that exists.

GMAC stores all info about you & your GMAT scores: such as when you take the test; how much you scored each time & schools you wished your score to be reported. etc.
Your 'X' b-school can get this info from GMAC if you apply (and in some occasions even when you've not applied ) there. However you usually report the highest score to b-school you apply to.

Thanks aim-wsc for answering, but now if I take 4th attempt and I haapen to scoe 700+ and I will be eporting my highest score to institute but then the institute itself will go ahead and approach GMAC for my score validation? and if my institute will come to know that I have given my GMAT 4 times and its only 4th time I socred 700 and rest 3 time I was in 600 then will it have any -ve impact on my whole application?

I mean I am not able to undestand how the whole application process works?

Please advice??

The schools to which you apply will see all of your scores from the past 5 years - not just the highest score.

What the school does with the scores is its own choice. Some schools only look at the highest, while some might average them. You need to contact individual schools to find their specific policies.
