John's Average Speed

What was John's average driving speed in miles per hour during a 15-minute interval?
(1) He drove 10 miles during this interval.
(2) His maximum speed was 50 miles per hour and his minimum speed was 35 miles per hour during this interval.

1) Average Speed = distance traveled/Time takem = 10/(15/60) = 40; Sufficient
2) not sufficient

Hence A
Always borrow money from a pessimist, he doesn't expect to be paid back.

time = 15 min
St.1) John's average driving speed = 10 /15 miles /min = 2/3/60= 1/90 miles per hour................. sufficient
St.2) His max. and min. speed is known but no t the other speed so we can't calculate the average speed.......insufficient
