why E is the ans??

A) focusing across - awkward

b) centering around- awkward
C) living through- awkward

D) with an eye on- wordy

E) telling of - parallel and simple

So in tht case C is more appropriate coz he wrote the book only after living there

It seems to be confusing but "Telling of several generations" seems to be better.

I would definately confess,it would have tricked me
The construction telling of several generation sound ackward to me and if i hadnot know it was the answer ,i would have eliminated the answer as it sounds ackward.
I would have gone with C

Which doesnt seems to be gramatically incorrect...

Some question's answers depends upon perceiption of question writer i guess....esp in cases where both options are not gramatically wrong

A cannot be write.. you cannot 'focus' on several generations.. focus on one point, focus on one thing.. not focussing on several things.. its not a focus then :P
Same for B.. 'Centering around' how can you center around something ?
C & D are awkward
E: hence correct choice

Correct form is telling of or telling about?
can anybody tell me,why is it sounding so ackward?
