Area and Perimeter of Rectangle

Is the value of the perimeter of rectangle R greater than the value of its area?

(1) The width of rectangle R is 2 inches.

(2) The area of rectangle R is 200 square inches.

A. width = 2 inches

So perimeter = 2(l + 2) = 2l+4
Area = l*w = l*2 = 2l

B. INSUFF as both are possible

1.L 20 W 10 Perimeter = 60, area = 200
L 2 W 100, perimeter = 204, area = 200

Hope it helps. First thought on A would be no way we can determine with width alone. Always try to apply it in formulas. Don't be reluctant and don't calculate in mind. I have missed lot of problems in DS practicing that way :)

I think the answer is aaaaaaa

the question is asking is 2(L+B) > LB or is 2L+2B > LB

from option a if width =B=2 than 2L + 2 * 2 > 2l
thus solving this we get 2>0. Hence perimeter is greater than area

from B nothing help
