In yards = (45*1160) yards / hr = 52200 yards / hr
In yards/sec = 52200 / (60*60 ) = 52200/3600 = 14.5 yards/sec
Distance traveled = 22 yards
Time taken = 22/14.5 = 1.5 sec ( approx. )
Its not in the options . What am I doing wrong ?

I can see another conversion error here, in fact 1 mile = 1760 yard.6983manish wrote:Speed of car = 45 miles/hrsanju09 wrote:How many seconds will it take for a car that is traveling at a constant rate of 45 miles per hour to travel a distance of 22 yards? (1 mile = 1,160 yards)

45 mph = 45 × 1760/3600 yards per second, and time taken to cover 22 yards at this speed
= 22/ (45 × 1760/3600 ) seconds
= 360/ (8 × 45) seconds
= 1 second
None of the choices, question is sincerely flawed
