Hello Guys,

So I have decided to give GMAT in end of June or first week of July. So I have a little over 3 months to study and I intend on spending maybe 1-2 hours every day and 4-5 hours over the weekend. I gave my first Powerprep practice test without any prep and scored 560( forgot a bunch of maths formulas). Looking back at the score I kindda ran through the verbal section, got bored. Need to work on sitting in one place for that long.
Anyways I am looking for advice on what should be the strategy to prepare, which books to use and any ideas would be a great help. I am starting from scratch so any pointers would help. Some of the books that I currently have are:

1. OG 11th edition
2. Manhattan Review for Sentence Correction
3. OG Math and Verbal Review.

My goal is to get atleast 720. Anything above would be good.

Thanks
Hemant

Hey and welcome to the community!

If you're just getting started and need some help, there are plenty of resources on our forum. You'll find most of them in the Resources tab at the top of the page. You'll also find there "GMAT Study Plans" (contains a list of successful GMAT accounts and at the bottom of the page a few recommended study plans complete with books to be used) and "GMAT Book Recommendations" for in depth reviews of well known books.

If you need any help, feel free to post more specific questions!

The books you mention are great, but I would also suggest that you get the Princeton Review Guide for Cracking the GMAT. It is a great source for all of the formulas that it looks like you forgot...good luck!
