@Vitalina: :D

Thanks, that's called putting me in my place!

Your score is really good though, especially since it's well within the range of major schools. If you're happy about it, then don't let some post discourage you!

Hey guys just got my score report - AWA was 5. I'm not surprised: I hadn't practiced anything for this subject, as pointed out in my original post. Can't say I'm thrilled or anything - I guess I just don't care. This is mainly because I will be taking the TOEFL exam pretty soon, so I believe that the adcoms will be more interested in that score than in the AWA score. I promise I'll work harder for that one or try to give a.....:D

Oh, and I forgot to add that I'm truly surprised that they moved so quickly... May must not be their busiest month!

And here's the link to that debrief by the guy who scored 790:

Congrats on Awesome score!!!
and bigger congrats on your amazing attitude, with this attitude you will do great where you go!!!. Ever point you said hit a home run for me!

IMHO-----
At 20 generally people don't have much idea about corporate life or about a field they love (exceptions exist). I would suggest taking a job where you work with fin modeling or even reading course books of grad schools. For Quant fin I would also recommend Stern and Wharton. I know people doing PhD's in Fin Modeling and they love it!!! I say this because i 28, at 20 dreamt of coming to US for MS in my dream field, completed MS in one of the best Univs and 5 yrs down the line what i do does not excite me anymore.
---------

IMHO You will do great in life!

congrats again!!!

After reading a few posts by you DanaJ i have come to a conclusion that the posts do not have any frills attached! You put things forward in an absolute crystal clear manner, no shades of gray whatsoever in your statements!

pls let me know if there is a soft copy available for Powerscore CR bible?
