I want comments on the GMAT instructors please

Is 0 even??????

As i rememebr my lessons from school 0 is neither Even nor ODD but according to one of the explanations in my princeton book it says 0 is even???

plz clarify.......

0/2 = 0. The result is an integer, so the number 0 is divisible by 2. As a result, the number 0 is even.

0 is indeed even because it falls between two odd integers on the number line.

0 is:
--even
--neither positive nor negative
--a multiple of all numbers (except for zero)
--not a factor of any numbers (division by zero is undefined)

I agree with all Deepak said. I had doubts about whether 0 is in fact a multiple of all numbers, because I thought that for this to be true, 0 would have to be the LCM (Least Common Multiple) of any two numbers. Upon further research however, I came to see that once again Deepak is right. So just writing to say thank you :-)

By definition, lowest common multiple refers to the smallest positive multiple of two numbers.

Almost all GMAT questions involving multiples specify positive multiples and 0 is, thus, excluded in almost all GMAT questions involving multiples.

However, it is good to know (perhaps for a sneaky DS question!) that in the (rare) instances in which the question doesn't specify positive multiple, we need to include 0.
