Weather Protocol

by MattKoch » Sun Jan 09, 2011 3:56 pm
Im taking the GMAT on the morning of the 12th this month, hoping to beat it, but hoping I have the chance to beat it. I am located in the Long Island area and there is suppose to be snow storms Tuesday night and Wednesday (12th) morning. If I miss the GMAT I will miss my deadline which would be a horrible thing. Does anyone know the protocol on possible cancellations on test day? Should I call the actual building or someone at the MBA site? Thanks.

Do you mean the test center canceling on you?

I would assume this will only happen if the test center is closed. If you are looking to see if the center is closed you are advised to call that particular center that morning.

I would say that there is a better chance that this will happen to people down in Atlanta tomorrow! My family lives down there and I believe the entire county they live in has like 3 snow plows for about 1/2 million people.

At least where you are they are used to snow, not as much as up my way in Vermont but still I think it would take a big snow event to shut down the test center.

Has anyone out there had your appointment canceled due to weather?

Thanks for the response, im not sure if anyone else has but yes im referring to the actual center. I know it would probably take a lot for the actual center to close, so hopefully... well hopefully it doesn't!
