My Pick is C.

A - jury sympathize
B - Wordy
C - facts may be unfavorable towards their client (Client's case makes more sense)
E - their plight (whose plight -- ?)

it is c

beacuse in all other options they has an ambiguous antecedent... lawyer or the client???, c rectfies this error by making client's possesive.
