Is term- Media - Plural ?

Hello,
I saw a question in which the term- 'Media' was mentioned as plural , as Media have done so and so.... Plus it was the correct answer choice ....can anyone help ?

The word "media" is a plural form of "medium." The word comes from Latin and it is more often used in the plural form. That's why it may seem confusing.
