my gmat struggle!

by cnayebyan » Mon Aug 20, 2012 7:22 pm
ok so I have been studying for about a year an half so far. I have taken the Kaplan course twice! took the test and got a depressing score of 340!

I have realized kaplan was no help other than teach what type of questions they ask. I have hired a professional tutor which I meet with twice a week for about 6 months now and he has helped me a lot. Im not sure if im ready to take the test again. im soooo scared. I feel like if i do bad i dont know what i will do because I have invested so much of my time and money into this. how do you know when your ready! I take practice tests.. sometimes i do okay an sometimes i still do bad. im so confused.

Relax for 2 or 3 days and take a GMATPrep mock test with strict official conditions ie. with AWA, IR and 8 min breaks. Take the test when you feel you are at the best. Even if you have already taken the tests, don't worry try to select the answer based on reason rather than on memory. GMATPrep mock scores will be very close to what you will actually score. +/- 30 to 50 points deviation will be there. So you can decide based on that.
Getting defeated is just a temporary notion, giving it up is what makes it permanent.

I suggest that you achieve your target score on at least two practice tests before scheduling your next test.

Keep at it! :-)

Cheers,
