Religious debates are often

by agganitk » Sat Jun 19, 2010 10:44 am
Religious debates are often clouded by historical issues. Although history is hindsight, religious debaters often argue that religious evolution creates rather than reacts to historical events. Historians, however, often counter with political explanations. But, realistically, how can you separate history from religion? The two are inextricably entwined. As one heretic commented, "Mortals will always debate mortal issues."

Which of the following inferences can be properly drawn from the argument above?

A) The perspectives of religious leaders and historians may sometimes clash.

B) It is sometimes necessary to separate history and religion

C) Religion is more important than history.

D) Religion creates history.

E) Historians argue that religion

Ans

A

I think option E is not completely written.

Inference questions seek answers from the premises already presented in the argument. In the argument its evident from the language "..religious debaters often argue ..", "..Historians, however, often counter ..".
Often corresponds to sometimes in options A..not necessarily corresponds but actually "often" is bigger set I can say and can accomodate within it "sometimes".

B,C and D are just too general comments and do not relate to the information as presented in the argument.
I am on a break !!
