I dont think E explains why the attacks increased significantly.
If the wolves migrate to far away regions, this would mean the attacks must decrease. So this statement does the opposite of what what is asked in the question.

I think A and C were the only ones that made sense
A - Population of other animals wild animals increased the wolves population. (more food --> less mortality--> more wolves!). But this would be way out of scope.

C - this option clearly tells us why the attacks increase. The wolves are hurt or injured --> not able to hunt for food ---> attack sheep which is probably an easy prey

ya i think i see how C might make more sense.
