Also, the denial of A is a bit tricky because it uses the word "some". "Some" means "at least one" and so its negation is "none". That means that the denial of choice A is actually: he painting NOTHING as he saw it (in his later paintings)!

This is definitely another LSAT question, testing LSAT (not GMAT) skills.
