Stanford GSB 20 Words

by jp203 » Sat Sep 29, 2012 12:40 pm
I am curious to hear the consultants take on Stanford's question on choosing 20 words to describe yourself. What kinds of answers would differentiate yourself? Options I see are a list of adjectives, a cohesive sentence, e.t.c.

Be specific with this question, not generic. By virtue of looking for best words to use you are somewhat barking up the wrong tree. Get creative here.

I agree with Jim above. But besides being specific, work REALLY hard on getting the text to be original/beautiful/interesting.

These 20 words can be your "hook". They are gonna get THOUSANDS of these texts, and lots of them will sound the same. If your text can shake them up "Hey, we've never seen this before!" then you are doing a good job.
