. Raymond took several days to mow a certain lawn. He mowed 1/3 of the lawn the first day, 1/2 of the remaining unmowed portion the second day, and 33/4 of the remaining unmowed portion the third day. What fraction of the lawn remained unmowed at the end of the third day?
(A) 1/2
(B) 1/6
(C) 1/8
(D) 1/12
(E) 1/24

I think on third day it should be 3/4 instead of 33/4,

here is the answer

first day
mowed land = 1/3, unmowed land = 1-1/3=2/3

second day 1/2 of the remaining i.e. 2/3
mowed land = 2/3 * 1/2 = 1/3 , unmowed land = 2/3 - 1/3 = 1/3

third day 3/4 of remaining i.e. 1/3
mowed land = 1/3 * 3/4 = 1/4, unmowed land = 1/3 - 1/4 = 1/12

Hence answer is 1/12

Thanks....I guess there is a printing error in the question.
