More than twenty-one centuries ago, the Han dynasty unified China, subduing warring tribes and forced the vast territory to adopt a single code of laws.

b) subduing warring tribes and forcing
c) subdued warring tribes, and forcing
d) subdued warring tribes, and it forced
e) having subdued warring tribes, and they forced

IMO:B

In this sentence "subdoing ...... and forcing" are present participles which modify "Han dynasty".

while "subdoing.... and forcing" should be parallel, "unified" need not be parallel, its main verb indicating the simple past tense.
