If z^n=1, what is the value of z?
1. n is a nonzero integer
2. z>0
Stmt I
1^1= 1
-1^2 = 1
INSUFF
Stmt II
1^0=1
2^0=1
... so on
INSUFF
Together
z has to be 1
SUFF

given Z^n = 1
there can be two case s for Z and N
i.e Z = +/- 1 and n >=0
or Z != +/- 1 and n = 0
stmt 1) n != 0 hence Z can only be +/- 1 not Suff
stmt 2) z>0; nothing about n -- Not Suff
together
n!= 0 and z>0 hence Z shud be 1... Suff.
