Not long back companies used to view technology as enabler rather than a differentiator. The situation has completely changed in last 5-6 years. With knowledge getting democratized and processes becoming standardized, technology has emerged as the new source of competitive advantage. Companies hence are fighting to protect IPRs and retain their Technology talent and leadership.

Consequently a CTO office in many companies no longer functions as a cost center. It has become the powerhouse of innovation and major driver of tangible business success. Hence, this may be best time to go for a MBA for people who are truly passionate about technology.
