Which company reported the larger dollar increase in earnings?

1. Company A reported that its earnings increased by 5%.

2. Company B reported that its earnings increased by 7%.

IMO E.

5% increase can be greater than 7% based on what we are calculating the % againt.

Unofficial Answer: (E). We can not equate percentage change with exact change in number.

E. You cant tell which company made the larger increase without seeing the number the percentages are multiplied against....


Company A could a made a million while company B made 2 billion, but it could be vis versa ...
