Here's my take - it is slightly long...i'm sure there would be a faster way of solving this...

stmt1 - insuff
stmt2 - insuff

combining 1 and 2, we get...
In triangle RQS, angle RQS = angle RSQ, lets say each is y
angle QRS=180-2y ...........(1)
and in tri STU, angle UST= angle SUT, lets say each is z
angle STU=180-2z ............(2)

also, y+x+z=180 or y+z=180-x......................(3)

In tri PRT, angle P=90, so angle PRT+PTR =90
we know, angle PRT +angle PTR = angle QRS+angle STU
angle QRS+ angle STU = 360-2z-2y ...........adding (1) and (2)
or 90=2(180-z-y)
or 45=180-z-y or z+y=135
from (3) 180-x=135
or x=45

Both statements need to be used to find the value of x.

Thanks arocks. I made a mistake in STU. <UST and <UTS are equal. But in my equations i considered <STU and <SUT are equal.
