Ans A as it is suff to tell that circle does not intersect X axis.

That is incorrect.

The center could be at (3, 4) with a radius of 5.

Note that DISTANCE BETWEEN THE CENTER OF THE CIRCLE AND AXIS X = |y|
THAT BETWEEN CENTER OF THE CIRCLE AND AXIS Y = |x|

St 1 just tells us that if the center is (x, y), then |y| > |x|. Nothing about the radius of the circle.

St 2 says that r > |x|. No info about |y|.

Together r > |x| > |y|, so r > |y| which means it does intersect the x-axis. C.

when we consider two statements
r> [x] and [y]>[x] but we can not determine what is the relationship between r and [y]
i am not sure why you concluded that r>[x]>[y]???????????

yes thats correect Ans should be E we dont have any relation that says r>|y|

Yup, you are both absolutely right, you definitely can't conclude that r > |x| > |y|.

I mis-read my own conclusion from statement 2. Sorry about that.
