Chances for Stanford and NYU Stern

I just finished my GMAT test today:

Quantitative: 50 (92%)
Verbal: 37 (82%)
Total: 710 (92%)

I have over 7 years experience in Banking, and now working in a top Investment bank in Singapore, with a role in Operations Control.
Prior to my current job, I worked in a Shanghai for 6 years, - 2 years in a National bank, 4 years in global top commercial banks.
I am female, non-native English speaker.

Although I aimed to get a higher score, 730-750 ideally, but this is the score i got today.

Can I still aim at Stanford and NYU Stern with this score? Appreciate your opinions. thanks,

700+ is a good score . As you are aware,GMAT score is one part of your application package. A good application package consists of a number of factors: GMAT score , GPA, work experience, application essays, resume and recommendation letters.Together, these make your candidature shine.
You have seven years of experience in Banking which is good. Begin short listing your accomplishments (the projects you have led, the initiatives you have taken, the challenges you have dealt with etc.) during these seven years. For essays, think of your personal and professional attributes that make you unique and then look for experiences that illustrate them. For recommendation letters ,work with your recommenders and make sure they highlight the same qualities that you have illustrated in your essays. Your resume should be short and precise introduction to the Ad Com.
Thus, taking into consideration all parts of your application package, you should be good to apply to the schools of your choice.

With that experience and those numbers, you should be totally fine for NYU. Stanford though requires more than a good GMAT score and good work experience. You need to really stand out to make it in to Stanford... to have amazing and surprising goals, to jump off the page as a person... Plus it's helpful if you have outside of work good initiative and leadership, you know in volunteering extra curriculars etc.

But overall you have a nice profile, being a female is always a bit helpful

... so I guess you are ready to get started!
