by whatthegmat » Mon Jul 16, 2012 1:51 am
26 yr old Indian male.
Undergrad BE chennai - 87%
Grad School in US(top 5) - 3.8 GPA
GMAT - yet to take, expecting 710
WorkEx(while applying) - 3.5 years in R&D, 6 monthsProduct Management for leading Software firm at San Francisco.

The deadline for application is August 10. I wouldn't want to hurry with my GMAT if my chances aren't bright.

Short response. Don't rush with the GMAT.

When's your test date? What are the other schools on your list?

There is no need for you to rush as you are not eligible to apply to IIMA PGPX for next 2 years as the minimum work ex requirement is 6 years.

Thanks a lot! I haven't booked the GMAT dates yet. Planning to take it around the second week of August.

Not much time left then. Hope you are scoring in the range you have in mind.

Ensure that you have the right choice of schools ready (based on post-MBA goals and the right 'fit') so you can include them in the 5 schools' list where GMAC sends it for free.

Good luck!

Thanks MBACrystalBall. I have booked the gmat appointment around the end of august. I will start a new thread to get suggestions for the 5 schools.
