GMAT Prep Test 1 Result

I took this examine completely cold installing the software. I am about 15 years removed from algebra, probability theory, etc. I scored a 680 on this practice exam.

What are my chances, with some rigorous preparation, of getting a score in the 720-750 range? Thanks.

Did you do the writing section as well? How much time do you have to prepare? What areas did you have problems with?

A 680 when taking the test without preparation? You have every chance of getting a 720 or above with study.

My advice to you is this - get some good material so that you learn some solid strategies. That is what takes people to the next level -- in your case you are shooting for the 95th percentile and above. What do you do when you begin each type of problem? How do you avoid making "silly errors" like misreading or calculation errors? How do you move through sentence correction efficiently? What are your strategies for data sufficiency?

These are the questions you want to be able to address. And yes you can get there. Do you happen to have the breakdown of your percentiles in Quant and Verbal?
