Cubes

Four solid cubes of gold, each with an edge of 2 centimeters long, are melted together and poured into a level, rectangular-shaped bar. The dimensions of the bar are 5 centimeters by 6 centimeters, and the bar is 4 centimeters deep. Approximately how many centimeters of liquid gold must be added to the bar so that it is completely full?

A 27

B 30

C 56

D 64

E 120

Volume of the rectangular bar = 5*6*4 = 120 cubic cm
Volume of the melted gold = 4*2*2*2 = 32 cubic cm

Now the melted gold has been poured into the rectangular hollow bar. So, the volume that needs to be filled = 120-32 cubic cm =
88 cubic cm

There is no option given as such.

This doesn't look right. The dimension should be cubic cm.

Can you post the OA ?
Thanks

4V=4*2^3=32 for four solid cubes of gold
5*6*4=12 for the rectangle
120-32=88???
