If digit h is the hundredths’ digit in the decimal d=0.2h6, what is the value of d, rounded to the nearest tenth?
(1) d < 1/4
(2) h < 5

IMO D should be the answer coz to round to the nearest tenth, u need to check the digit next to it i.e. hundredth digit. if it is less than 5 then the tenth digit will remain same but if it is 5 or more than 5 then tenth digit will be increases by one.
here in statement 1 d<.25 is given that means h is less than 5.. hence d = .2
Hence suff.

from 2, h<5 that is what we want. so clearly d= .2
Hence suff.

IMO 1 says d could be 0.216, 0.226, 0.236, 0.246 rounding to nearest tenth d could be 0.2 or from 0.246~0.3 so not suff

2 says h<5 same as 1 nothing new here so not suff,

combining together nothing extra info coming from 2nd so not suff

Ans is E

IMO A b/c we need to interpret the digits as integers

stmt 1 gives us h<1/4, which is less then 1 so we can find d....

stmt 2 gives us that it can be less then 5, if it's 4 d will be 0,3 if it's 3 it 'll be 0,2

we round off to the next higher digit when we have a number greater than 5
stmt 2 gives us that it can be less then 5, if it's 4 d will be 0,3 if it's 3 it 'll be 0,2
if h=4,d= 0.2
if h=3, d = still 0.2
