x AND y ARE integers, and x>0, is y>0?

1) 7x-2y>0
2) -y<x what does this statement mean?

Statement 1: 7x-2y > 0
7x > 2y
y < (7/2)x.
If x=2, then y < 7.
Since it's possible that y=6 or y=-1, INSUFFICIENT.

Statement 2: -y < x
Thus, y > -x.
If x=2, then y > -2.
Since it's possible that y=6 or y=-1, INSUFFICIENT.

Statements 1 and 2 combined:
If x=2, then -2 < y < 7.
Since it's possible that y=6 or y=-1, INSUFFICIENT.

The correct answer is E.
