30 Day GMAT Prep

Anybody tried taking the test after 30 days of studying? If so, I'd be curious to hear how you did it. I feel very confident in my abilities on the Verbal and Writing sections but need work on the Quant and Integrated Reasoning portions. Any tips for things I should focus on and things I should skip over for time's sake would be appreciated.

Hi,

I would recommend that you spend around 3 weeks learning theory and then 7-10 days taking tests and improving your timing. During the first 3 weeks spend 75% of the time learning the material from the quant section and 25% devote to the verbal. The proportion can also be different but you need to make sure to be making similar progress with both sections. Use the Official Guide and the GMAT Prep tests during the last 10 days and not before so that you use them to test yourself.

I think you'll get a lot of stories here of people who have taken the GMAT with just 2 weeks of preparation and have done well. It also depends on what score you are targeting at. Take a GMATPREP and you will probably get a good idea of where you stand now.
