Hi

My first attempt was 480 which was last september

After that i took some breaks in between then i HAD to take it on 7/7/2010 just to get past 500 so i can apply for scholarships given by my university ( Kuwait University )

and my score was 600 (Q 45 , V 27)

i still need more work to do but +120 improvment is not bad at all.

i need more work on my verbal while keep practicing math.

Am Kuwaiti and 23 years old.
I graduated from Kuwait University (College of Business Administration) in 2009 with BS in Finance.
My goal and what i really want to, continue my studies ASAP ( Masters and Phd both in Finance ) then work at Kuwait University as a faculty member there.

GPA: 3.40
MGPA: 3.80

Work experience: not much, ive been working at Central Bank of Kuwait since 11-April-2010

can i get in one of these with my current prof ?

Most of the schools on your list are very selective. Your lack of work experience alone will put you out of consideration for the highest ranking schools. Even with solid work experience most of those schools would want a GMAT 100 points higher than you have reached so far. Most of your classmates would have 4-5 years' experience in world class organizations. They would bring considerably more knowledge to classroom discussions. Schools are very concerned about the degree of expertise their students can offer to each other.

For this reason you should consider gaining two or three more years' experience before applying. That would give you time to boost your GMAT as well. The bias toward candidates with experience is not arbitrary. Everyone in the classroom benefits when a class member can contribute based on real-world experience. Conversely, the whole calss suffers when a classmate cannot contribute.

From your own perspective, you will gain considerably more from your education if you have a solid professional background. You will know what you want to study and how it will apply to your career objectives. You will be on a more equal footing with your classmates and build stronger networks.

That said, if you really want to go to school next year, you can always get in somewhere but very few of the schools on your list will view your current experience favorably.
