Increasing score of Verbal from 35 to 40

Hi,

I am scoring 700/710 in MGMAT/GMATPrep mocks. My Quant score is varies between 49 and 50 and my verbal score between 34 and 36. My target score is 740. My exam is a week away from now. Can someone tell me how can I improve my verbal score and touch the 40 mark in verbal?

This is my split of rights/wrong (in verbal section) in my mocks:
RC- 8R/5W
CR-10R/4W
SC - 7R/7W (yeah getting more wrongs in SC. I get most of the SC's right in my timed practice sessions)

Help please.

Hi maruthisandeep,

I'm hoping that you can tell me a bit more about your CATs:

1) Did you take the ENTIRE CAT (including Essay and IR) each time?
2) Do you have a pacing problem in the Verbal section? Do you have to guess on questions at the end just to finish on time?
3) On your last CAT, how many Verbal questions did you get wrong because you "narrowed it down to 2 choices, but picked the wrong answer?"

Hey Rich,

Here are the details:
1) Yes I always took the entire CAT, never I have skipped IR and Essay.
2) Yes I need to guess like 3-4 questions in the end. I take 18-23 minutes on a average to finish first 10 questions then I pace up, I am left with 15-20 minutes for the last 10 questions. I generally guess the critical reasoning questions during the last 10 questions.
3) In my last CAT I got a total of 16 questions wrong. Out of the 16 questions I was able to narrow down to two options for 8-10 questions. During my review I always try to answer the questions again without looking at the answers and I always get these 8-10 right.
