x^4 + y^4 > z^4 ?

1. x^2 + y^2 > z^4

2. x + y > z

Answer was E.

Can anyone explain?

I thought it should be D.
If you square statement 1, it would be:
x^4 + 2x^2y^2 + y^4 > z^4

So if you subtract a positive number (2x^2y^2) from z^4, shouldn't you be able to answer the question???

Plug in fractions for x , y and z. And you will get the answer.

just use fractions e.g 0.2 + 0.3 > 0.4. Always remember to use fractions if it is not given that the number is an integer.
