If w4 + r4 = 200 then the greatest possible value of r is between

(A) 1 and 3

(B) 3 and 5

(C) 5 and 7

(D) 7 and 9

(E) 9 an 11

r can be maximum if w = 0
Now 3^4 = 81 and 4^4 = 256, which implies the greatest possible value of r is between 3 and 4.

The correct answer is B.
