There are no silly questions - just silly mathematical statements. Technically, 25/3/12 is an incorrect expression (unless you're referring to the 25th of March, 2012 and you live in the UK, not the US.) I suppose if you follow the rules of PEMDAS, which says you do multiplication and division from left to right you would have to first divide 25 by 3 and then divide the result by 12, which would correspond to 25/36.
