could someone please explain how you get the answer because i do not understand the explanation provided by the OG...also what would u rate this question on dificulty.
i got utterly defeated by the gmat.

I think it is a typo. It should be "that must divide n"

Answer is 12:

here is how: factors of 72 are -- 6x6x2

so lowest value on n could be: 6x2 = 12
n^2 = 144 which is divisible by 72

so the largest which can divide n is 12. Hope it helps.
