IMO B.

Dogs have a sense of smell that resembles those of the wolves and are therefore able to discriminate between many different types of smells, even if they are far away or many days old.

Correct comparison is between the Dog's sense of smell and that of the wolf's WHILE maintaining the subject -verb agreement ( Dogs......have).

A) Dogs have a sense of smell that resembles those of the wolves . a sense of smell to senses of smell

B) Dogs have a sense of smell resembling a wolf's
C) The sense of smell of dogs resembles a wolf's ..incorrect subject for the verb ARE
D) A dog's sense of smell resembles the wolves'... Subj - verb agreement error - A dog's....and are
E) The sense of smell of dogs resembles those of the wolves..... Subject - verb agreement - Then sense ..and are...MGMAT SC also insists that the latter item(s) in the comparison must agree in number with the former item(s).

i dislike this ST because the answer choices seem to be crazy for me.
anyways, B is the answer for me
dogs should be the subject of the sense because of the verd " are"
thus elemilate CDE and we have A, B left
A is eliminated because of " those" . those should be changed by "that" ( a sense of smell)
