In need of private tutor

Can anybody tell me how I can find a private tutor. I need help on math and would love to work with a math specialist. I prefer a private tutor that is not part of one of the big companies because I really can't afford the big overhead they charge. Can someone direct me to the right source. I've visited gmatix.com and most of the tutors there are not active. Please help.

Where do you want to be tutored?
Many GMAT tutors use craigslist.org to advertise so it might be a good idea to go to their site.

If you are looking for an online tutor all the major prep companies offer private tutoring. Grockit, I believe has the lowest price. It is about $50/hr to schedule a session with one of their tutors. Hope that helps.
