Dear bk136587,

Based on your post, you have the building blocks for a competitive application at any MBA program. The key is supporting those blocks with great essays and interviews. With regard to extracurriculars, it could be an issue, but it depends on what you mean by "mediocre"--whether that refers to your level of involvement or you lack of involvement. In terms of work experience, if you are currently at 3 years, then you will have 4 at matriculation, putting you right around the average. So, the quantity is not so much the issue--you need to show progression in your industry in terms of scope of responsibility. Finally, you are targeting programs with very large applicant pools, a large percentage of which will be from your industry; thus you need to find a way to distinguish yourself from similar applicants.

Best of luck,
Lisa
